February 1979
My life was in heavy crisis. I had crossed a line and stepped into the spirit realm and some thing, no someone, was determined to destroy me.
I cried out to God for help and flipped the pages to the back of the book, the only Bible I had found in our home. And there, past the last book of the Bible, I read a message to readers. I saw the sentence that captured my attention. "God has a wonderful plan for your life." He wanted me? I understood His invitation. It was time to come home. Home to Him. So I prayed a simple prayer. A prayer similar to the one below.
Do you need to come home? You can reach out to Him and He will reach out to you.
Dear Lord Jesus,
I need you. I want to know you personally. I give my life to You. Please forgive me for all my sins. Forgive me for not wanting You or seeking You. Thank you for your death on the cross, Your payment for my sins.
Lord Jesus, come into my life and be my Lord and Savior.
Help me to follow You.
Please Jesus, I want to follow You. I want to know You.
